The Best Cocktail Bars in Edinburgh
There are so many great things to say about Edinburgh and the people there. The city is full of history, beautiful architecture and great stories. But this post isn’t about any of those things - it’s about cocktails. One of our favorite ways to start off exploring a new city is by visiting it's cocktail bars - and Edinburgh has a lot of those to explore. Here are our favorite cocktail bars in Edinburgh in case you like to "explore" a city the same way we do.
If you’re looking to take home a unique souvenir, a lot of bars around the city bottle their own cocktails and it’s a great way to take Edinburgh home.
Every few weeks the Lucky Liquor team chooses 13 liquors and use only those to create 13 cocktails on their menu for the next few weeks until the next menu flip. We loved the creativity behind their menu creation and how friendly and knowledgable the team was. You can also take home a bottle of their pre-batched cocktails.
This tiny bar will make you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door and the cocktails were always presented in a unique way. One of our favorites was Doctor’s Orders, served with a “prescription” and in a old school apothecary bottle.
Not only do they have great cocktails, they also have an extensive wine and champagne list and delicious food. If you’re in for a big meal, their Sunday roast dinner is a great way to end the weekend.
This is a great spot any night, but especially Saturday night when it gets busier. Their Affinity cocktail packed a punch, and you can also take it home with you.
Great cocktails and a kitschy, old-tyme panda-themed menu that’s packed with different themed cocktails, the story behind Panda & Sons and historical trivia.
