It's been over eight months since we stayed at the Valverde Hotel and we continue to have good memories about this hotel.

The Valverde Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel that prides itself in its top-notch customer service. Staff at the hotel were very personable and attentive to our every need and they made sure we felt right at home from the moment we walked in.

With an enviable location right in the heart of old Lisbon, the rooms themselves are spacious and very comfortable. The Valverde also has a great pool area and intimate patio to relax during the day or evening for a drink or meal.

During our stay, live musicians played throughout the day, which helped to set a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere. We were also fortunate enough to stay at the Valverde during one of their Fado nights, with a Fado singer and guitarists serenading us by the pool as we ate - it made us feel like we were living in another time. It was surprisingly easy to get a table at this small hotel, but we suspect it's because the hotel doesn’t advertise its Fado nights - the restaurant is open to the public, in case you feel like dropping by for a meal or drink.

All this to say, we had a wonderful time at Valverde Hotel and dream of going back next time in we're in that magical city of Lisbon. So, if you're wondering where to stay in Lisbon, this is it.
